2007 Chevy Impala review

The 2007 Chevy Impala was redesigned in 2006 and hasn’t changed much since then, but the renovation was so thorough that there isn’t much left to add. The Impala is a comfy sedan that’s pleasing all around. Decent fuel economy, plenty of back seat space, sensitive steering and easy handling, along with plenty of features and options that make it an enjoyable car to own. Not to mention the safety features that it come with, also making it a reasonable car to own.

The changes that have been made for 2007 are a new Active Fuel Management System, GM’s way of making the engine idle at times when it isn’t in use so that less fuel is used, improving the Impala’s fuel economy. Also added is a tire pressure monitor and an OnStar navigation system that comes with turn-by-turn directions. The safety features included are airbags as well as anti lock brakes and an electronic stability control.

The Impala comes in four models, ranging from just over twenty thousand dollars to just below thirty thousand.

  • Impala LS. This comes with a 3.5 liter V6 engine with 211 horsepower and a four speed automatic transmission. It also comes with cloth upholstery, a split bench seat, OnStar, cruise control, 16 inch wheels. Optional are anti lock brakes, Flip and Fold rear seats, and leather seating surfaces.
  • The Impala LT adds anti lock brakes and traction control. It also comes with dual zone climate control, bucket seats, fog lamps, remote ignition, 17 inch alloy wheels, and power outlets.
  • The Impala LTZ. It upgrades to the 3.9 liter V6 engine and also includes leather upholstery, heated seats, and a brand new tire pressure monitor.
  • The Impala SS ups the power by a lot by installing a 303 horsepower 5.3 liter V8 engine that was made particularly for vehicles with front wheel drive. It’s powered with a four speed automatic transmission and comes with displacement on demand, a fuel saving technology that keeps your gas tank full. It also has performance suspension and 18 inch wheels.

Cheers,

Fashun Guadarrama.
