99 gmc jimmy

i have a 99 gmc jimmy with v6 vortec and is 4x4 i have a abs light on it comes on after driving a few miles when it comes on the spedometer acts up and starts bouncing up and down the it just stops and drops to zero i also get alot of grinding in the front brakes and it stops shifting?   

a couple months ago i had a check engine code come on for the shift selanoid i was told that some how the water may be affecting it i dont know if this has anything to do with the issue???

Have you pulled the front wheels and inspected your brakes?  Your going to have to have the ABS computer scanned for codes.  If the check engine light is on, have that scanned too.  Lets us know the numbers.

No have not checked the brakes but do have to replace the idler and Putnam arms and the lower ball joints I will check the ABS codes bit No check engine codes that was already fixed due to problems with the distributor that is brand new had to be replaced
