01 chev tahoe for sale! 199K 5.3L V8 vortec, Ls model. PW PL PM, rear barn doors, Green in color. Truck is located in Saint Paul, MN area. Decent shape, has a little rust starting on pass. Front fender and some scratches. It is a truck. Runs great, shifts great. Trans fluid/ filter changed at 160K, oil change about 3 miles ago. Bought a Impala, and have no need for the suv anymore. Auto Repair Car Questions / 2006 Impala Camshaft Position Sensor problems

06 Impala 3.5 v6, Has off and on for a few thousand miles had a Camshaft position sensor code in the comp. Before we replaced the sensor it was (very intermittently with no rhyme or reason to it) would shift between gears with a fairly hard jerk. Ran well until the car got warmed up at a half dozen stoplights on the hwy and then it started doing it again. I had the check engine light come on yesterday and checked the code history today at it said 'camshaft position sensor performance' car hasnt acted up since the other day. I dont really think it has anything to do with the transmission because i would think that if it were that it would do it consistently, but ive never really seen symptoms like this and im not really sure how to go about a diagnosis further, I was hoping that the CMP sensor would have taken care of it. I have a 82 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, 305 crossfire injection. Runs fine other than when it warms up it stalls out.  Just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with this before in these cars or has any advice of what to check...any help appreciated, thanks!!
