Lathe A brake lathe machine is used to trim off a small
amount of the brake rotor to make the surface smooth and even again.
This process is called “true”. To true the brake rotor the
machine files off a small layer of the rotor on both sides until the
rotor is smooth and uniformly even on both sides. To learn why the
