Introduction
Although 2007 Mercedes-Benz G-Class has its origins as a military vehicle, it offers exclusive class, comfort, and luxury. Presently, it ranks among exclusive sports utility vehicles.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is available in two trims of G500 and G55 AMG. Options include power sunroof, front and rear heated seats, automatic climate control, navigation system with console display, 9-speaker audio system, and phone.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Mercedes-Benz G-Class offers standard 493hp 5.5-liter V8 engine with five-speed automatic transmission and overdrive or 292hp 5.0-liter V8 engine with seven-speed automatic transmission and overdrive. It delivers 12 to 13-mpg in city and 14-mpg on highway.

Interior Design and Special Features
Interiors are spacious and comfortable with walnut trims, leather steering wheel, split-folding rear seat, and extensive cargo space.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes with brake-assist, stability control, and traction control. Side airbags are not available.

Driving Impressions
Progressive brakes, swift transmissions, and good acceleration offer easy ride. Fuel economy is very low.
