Although 2007 Mercury Monterey offers basic requirements of a minivan, there are others offering overall better performance and capabilities.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Mercury Monterey is available in single trim of Luxury. Options include rear-seat DVD entertainment system, video and audio jacks for games, two wireless headphones, remote control, and in-dash CD changer.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Mercury Monterey offers standard 201hp 4.2-liter V6 engine with four-speed automatic transmission and overdrive. It delivers 17-mpg in city and 23-mpg on highway.

Interior Design and Special Features
Interiors offer attractive two-color leather upholstery with clean dash design. However, quality of interiors materials is not very good. Interiors also lack spaciousness.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include front seat-mounted side airbags, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with electronic brake force distribution, full-length side curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor, power-adjustable pedals, and parking sensors for front and rear bumpers. Advance Trac stability control and self-sealing tires are optional.

Driving Impressions
Soft suspension offers comfortable ride, although allows excessive body roll around corners. Power delivery is noisy and needs refinements.
