Austin-1, September 25, 2007

Summary
2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible is a luxury convertible that can seat four passengers. It has two doors.

What is New in 2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible?
Changes include updated trim, restyled instrument panel, differential design, new options, satellite radio, and Bose sound system.

Introduction
2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible proves to be a superb and spacious luxury car although reflexes and interiors are not too good.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible is available in two trims of 2.0T and Aero. Options include navigation system, fully automatic power top, lowered sport suspension, dual-zone automatic climate control, stability control, seat heaters, and leather seating.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible offers standard 250hp 2.8-liter V6 turbo engine with six-speed manual transmission and overdrive or optional six-speed automatic transmission and overdrive. It also offers 210hp 2.0-liter I4 turbo engine with six-speed manual transmission and overdrive or optional five-speed automatic transmission and overdrive.

Interior Design and Special Features
Interiors are spacious although rear seats do not offer sufficient legroom. Foldable backseats offer extensive cargo space. However, quality of materials is not very good.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include traction control, antilock disc brakes, stability control, head restraints and front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and rollover protection system.

Driving Impressions
Powerful engines with stiff chassis offer satisfying tackling of corners. Engines however lack performance at low levels. Transmissions are not always smooth.

Pros
Powerful engines, spacious interiors

Cons
Choppy ride, backdated interiors, loose suspension
