Changes include upgraded engines with more horsepower, Apple iPod adapter, adaptive xenon headlights, remote keyless start, and power liftgate.

Introduction
Although engine upgrades offer better performance, certain inherent drawbacks overshadow all its good qualities.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Volkswagen Touareg is available in three trims ranging from V6 to V10 TDI. Options include park-assist sensors, adaptive bi-xenon HID headlights, adjustable air suspension, heated rear seats, leather seating, four-zone automatic climate control, navigation system with backup camera, and keyless start.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Volkswagen Touareg offers standard 310hp 5.0-liter V10 turbo diesel engine or 276hp 3.6-liter V6 engine with six-speed automatic transmission and overdrive. It delivers 16 to 17-mpg in city and 20 to 22-mpg on highway.

Interior Design and Special Features
Interiors include soft surfaces with aluminum and wood trims. Rear seats are not too spacious and cargo space is average.

Safety features include stability control, full-length side-curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, side airbags for front occupants, hill descent and incline rollback control.
