2007 Volvo V70 proves to be a safe midsize wagon with sufficient cargo space and other features although less expensive wagons offer more features.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Volvo V70 is available in three trims ranging from 2.4 to R. Options include navigation system, sound system with in-dash CD changer, sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, interior air quality system, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system with dual rear screens.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Volvo V70 offers standard 300hp 2.5-liter I5 turbo engine with six-speed manual transmission and overdrive or optional six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It also offers 168hp 2.4-liter I5 engine with five-speed manual transmission and overdrive or optional five-speed automatic transmission.

Interior Design and Special Features
Interiors are luxurious with organized and simple controls. Front seats are comfortable while rear seats offer less space. Foldable rear seats offer sufficient cargo space.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes, whiplash-reducing front head restraints, full-length side-curtain airbags, front-seat side airbags, telematics, and optional power rear-door safety locks and built-in child booster seats.

Driving Impressions
Adequate acceleration and adaptive suspension offer smooth ride, although it cannot tackle all bumps smoothly. Brakes are good.
