AC Hose

Austin Davis, June 28, 2014March 25, 2015

What does an AC hose look like and can you successfully repair an AC hose on your car?

ac_hose

If you can see it in the picture, the black rubber center portion of the AC hose is oily which is from a Freon and compressor oil leak in the hose

On the left side of the hose, on the metal piece you will see a layer of stuck on dirt. That is a good indication that a Freon and compressor oil leak is taking place at that oring.

Can you repair this AC hose? I bet you can, you will send the hose to your local auto parts store and they will cut out and replace the rubber portion and you will replace the orings on the metal ends that attach to the compressor
