2008 Toyota Highlander Picture and Review

Austin-1, June 14, 2007

When you think of an economic car, normally the image you come up with is something small, cramped and squarish. But with the option of hybrid cars for many brands, you no longer have to confine yourself to a rigid interior to enjoy high gas mileage. Cars like Toyota’s 2008 Highlander provide space and comfort beyond average, while at the same time being economic and safe for the environment.

Bigger and with more power than the Highlanders before it, the 2008 Highlander hybrid is made to be noticed, while at the same time including all of the standard safety precautions that make you feel safer having it looked at like it should be. Not only that, it comes with seven airbags in total, with roll-sensing airbags in the curtains for the three backseat rows. Also, for the very first time, it will come with enhanced VSC–vehicle stability control.

This car is powerful indeed with a 3.3 liter V6 engine and 270 net hp. Some of its features include:

  • The armrests on the second row can be turned into a second seat, upping the passenger count from 6 to 7.

  • The third row can be folded down to provide more storage space.

  • Smart Start and Entry for all hybrids.

  • 55 horsepower leap over the last model

  • intelligent four wheel drive

  • electronically-controlled active steering

  • three zone air conditioning

  • navigation system

  •

All in all, the 2008 Highlander provides a combination of energy and comfort that allows you to coast right into the sunset with no worries about leaving anyone or anything behind.
