Spark Plug Blew, How to Repair Hole

Austin Davis, November 30, 2008September 30, 2014

I have an engine with a blown spark plug. What are my options? Please advice.

Jose

Hey there Jose,

I am assuming the threads of the hole are messed up now and you can not install a new spark plug. If so, you can have your mechanic try to install a heli coil insert into the hole or if that does not work….you will have to remove the cylinder head and send it to a machine shop.

Blessings,

Austin Davis
