I have a Chevy Trailblazer 4×4, car wont forward or reverse unless its in AWD , 4 hi or 4 low. I’m not sure what it could be, seems like transmission itself it fine but something is stopping the power from going to the rear, please give me your honest opinion, thank you

Sounds like something is in a bind. Try removing the rear drive shaft and see if the transmission will turn without the rear drive shaft in place.
You could have a rear or front differential problem, front hub, or a problem with the 4×4 shift selector solenoid or switch

Thanks for your reply. I opened the rear end and it was shredded . Gears were broken inside. I’m having my mechanic replace it for me.  Thank you for your time.

Argggg, that can be expensive and sometimes a used rear end from a junk yard is cheaper and much faster than overhauling your old rear end unit.
