Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
2007 Kia Optima is available in four trims ranging from LX to EX V6. Options include telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, keyless entry, upgraded stereo with in-dash CD changer, and automatic climate control.

Powertrains and Performance
2007 Kia Optima offers standard 185hp 2.7-liter V6 engine with five-speed automatic transmission and overdrive or 162hp 2.4-liter I4 engine with five-speed manual transmission and overdrive and optional five-speed automatic transmission and overdrive.

Interior Design and Special Features
Offers spacious interiors with supportive seats and increased legroom. Rear seats are little short and could prove uncomfortable for tall passengers. Gauges and interior colors are bright.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, anti-whiplash front head restraints, and tire-pressure monitor. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard on few models while ABS is unavailable.

Driving Impressions
Well-tuned suspension and precise steering allows easy drive. However, unimpressive V6 engines do not deliver requisite torque.

Pros
Spacious interiors, stylish looks, and increased warranty coverage

Cons
Driving dynamics average and absence of ABS on specific models
