I just purchased your e-book and I have 6,000 miles to go before my
2006 Honda is out of a warranty. Is it worth buying a extended maintenance warranty?

Thanks for your order. In my personal opinion, I would not buy the extended warranty….especially since you are driving a Honda. Honda gets my top recommendation for maintenance, durability and price appreciation and has for years.
Most of the extended warranty contracts I see either never cover the parts that seem to break, or the warranty company denies the claim because of “driver error” which is very hard to prove, or disprove.
I do however suggest that you make an “emergency repair fund” and either put $1000 into a mutual fund or interest bearing account just in case something unexpected happens a few years from now.
